Today, we fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and then head to Bardia National Park in a bus drive. We stay overnight in hotel. Depending on the time we reach there, we will go and explore the national park around.
Today, we will begin our bird watching tour where will discover many species of birds. We will also at the same time, explore around the national park and have a look around. We can choose to walk or we can choose to go elephant riding, where we will be able to able to see many rare and endangered species of birds. Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, peafowl, and bar-headed geese are typically found in this national park of Nepal. So, we can also call them symbols of the park.
Today also, we explore around the place and get to know the variety of the birds. Lesser florican and sarus crane are present; grey-crowned prinia, jungle prinia, pale-footed bush warbler, aberrant bush warbler, striated grassbird, golden-headed cisticola and chestnut-capped babbler and many other species of birds can be seen around. However, we will also be able to target certain species as per your wants too. Ruddy Shelduck, dartersoriental pied hornbills, night heron & purple heron, brahmini kites, brown headed gulls, cormorants, cinnaon bitterns, orioles and peacocks can also be found all around. Changunarayan is one of the ten world heritage sites in Nepal that have been recognized by the UNESCO. Then we will return to Kathmandu after gathering immense knowledge and experience on the field of bird watching.
Today is the last day of our tour; half day bird watching and then the rest of the day; we make our way back to Kathmandu with a scenic flight all around.
